MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship continued Monday as the Mexico and Panama earned victories in Group B at Estadio Alejandro Morera Soto in Alajuela, Costa Rica.

Mexico secured the first place in the group to decide its seeding in the Semifinals. Panama exited the tournament with a victory.

Panama 4, Nicaragua 1

Panama closed its participation with a 4-1 win against Nicaragua.

Las Canaleras opened the scoring in the 16’ with a right-footed strike form Kayra Pérez. Sherline King doubled the lead in the 32’ with a left-footed banger from outside the box.

Pérez collected her brace in the 48’ extend the Panamanian lead. Nicaragua pulled one back in the 75’ through Adriana Munguia free kick.

Nathalie Bello added a fourth for Panama in the 82’ to put a bow on the victory.

Mexico 4, Canada 2

Mexico earned a 4-2 win against Canada in a meeting for first place in the group. Both teams had assured their qualification to the Semifinals and the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, leaving only seeding to be decided.

Canada took the lead in the 18’ thanks to Teegan Melenhorst, who sent a left-footed shot in the box. An own goal by Janet Okeke in the 26’ leveled the score for Mexico.

Mexico took the lead in the 37’ as María González took advantage of a deflection in the box. Montserrat Saldívar extended the Mexican lead in the 45’+2’.

Annabelle Chukwu struck for Canada in the 59’ before Saldívar secured her brace and the fourth goal for Mexico in the 84’ to seal the result.
