Here is how the Real Madrid players fared against Getafe.

Player ratings:

Thibaut Courtois: 7.0

Did not have much to do in the opening half but saved everything that came his way in the 2nd half. His 6th cleansheet in the league and surely more to come.

Lucas Vazquez: 6.5

Was fairly decent throughout the game. Did not commit any mistakes and kept his marker in check too. Made some good overlapping runs.

Raul Asencio: 7.5

This youngster just continues to impress. Won 8 out of his 9 duels, made successful interceptions, clearances and tackles. His importance within the club is growing – and rightfully so.

Antonio Rüdiger: 7.0

A decent outing after the Anfield debacle. Earned the penalty but also gave Getafe their best chance to score. Other than that, partnered well with Asencio.

Fran García: 7.5

Was handed a start after Mendy’s poor showing again. Did not have much to do defensively except a few clearances. Robbed the ball off Getafe which led to the 2nd goal. He has been on the pitch for 690 minutes this season, with Madrid conceding just thrice and scoring 23 times. More starts expected for the Spaniard.

Dani Ceballos: 7.0

He has grown in prominence over the past few games and deservedly so. 94% accurate passes and won 7 duels. Another solid day at the office for the midfielder.

Fede Valverde: 7.5

Slid into the midfield with ease and put on a clinic. Was present defensively and caused trouble on the attacking front as well. Almost scored as his thunderous shot was saved by David Soria.

Jude Bellingham: 8.0

Running out of words for his brilliance. Just played 45 minutes but those were enough to seal the game for Madrid. Scored the penalty as if it was nothing and played a sumptuous ball to find Mbappe, who buried it home. Subbed off after a collision with goalkeeper but is expected to be ready for the Bilbao game.

Brahim Díaz: 6.5

Not his best game, but not that bad of a game either. Barely received the ball in the opening half but the second half had him involved. Should have scored the third and unlucky to not have an assist to his name too. Glimpses of his brilliance were visible though.

Rodrygo: 6.5

Looked a bit rusty and cannot blame him for it. Did not have a shot at goal and the only shot he had, was blocked by a defender. Hopefully, it isn’t too long till he hits the ground running.

Kylian Mbappe: 8.5

Deserved the Man of the Match award for an exceptional display. Showed the world that he can still score those long-range stunners as was visible for that well-timed shot. Unlucky to not have a hat trick to his name. Hopefully, this is the start of something special.

Substitutes:

Arda Güler: 7.0

Came on for Jude and got to play the entire 2nd half. Offered a defensive body as well and offensively created one big chance too. Surprised not to see him start though.

Luka Modric: 6.5

The perfect time for him to come on is the final 25-30 minutes and he proved that. Controlled the game along with Ceballos and Fede. Ensured that things are run smoothly in the last few minutes.
