Former Celtic favourite Scott Sinclair has been training with an EFL League Two side in a bid to find a new club. The ‘fast as lightning’ Celtic Invincible is a free agent having left Bristol Rovers earlier in the summer.
The attacker is training with maverick manager Ian Holloway as he attempts to find a new club. Holloway, who is in the LMA Hall of Fame, is known for his brilliant post match interviews and unique dress sense.
According to Lancashire Post, Sinclair has been training with League Two side Swindon Town as he looks to continue his career.
The 36-year-old had captained Rovers over the last campaign but was unable to prevent their relegation to the bottom flight and left the side at the end of the season.
The ex-Man City and Swansea winger played some of his best football with Celtic and is fondly remembered for his time during Brendan’s first campaign with the Champions.
On his debut at Tynecastle, Sinclair came off the bench and within a two touches of the ball, he had scored after converting from a brilliant Leigh Griffiths cross. He started as he meant to go on, enjoying a stunning debut season at the club in which he swept up the individual awards as Celtic romped to win all three trophies in an Invincible campaign. In 167 appearances, Sinclair scored 62 times and assisted on 34 occasions before leaving for Preston North End in January 2020.
