Liverpool Women hosted Manchester United Women for their last home match of the season, and manager Matt Beard said an early goodbye to Prenton Park.
In a cagey affair with challenges flying, Emma Koivisto was sent crashed into the advertising boards by Gemma Evans, and an unimpressed Beard came to her aid.

However, the referee didn’t want to hear anything the manager had to say and sent him off with a red card.
Luckily, the Reds weren’t too fazed, breaking the deadlock through Jenna Clark’s header.
Liverpool will have to maintain their slim lead without their manager to leapfrog Manchester United in the table.
Sunday’s clash is the final time the Reds will play at Prenton Park having signed a 10-year lease at St Helens Stadium next season.
