An insight into the alleged plans of new Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso for his first-choice Blancos XI has this week been provided.

And the info will no doubt spark widespread chatter amongst those of a Real Madrid persuasion.

This comes with a number of noteworthy inclusions and exclusions alike noted in the Spaniard’s line-up.

When it comes to the former, the most head-turning comes in the form of that of 17-year-old Franco Mastantuono, who, upon completing his move from River Plate, will reportedly be thrown straight into a starting role.

New signings will also dominate the backline, with all of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dean Huijsen and Álvaro Carreras – Alonso’s leading left-back target – included.

A front two of Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Jr. is also anticipated.

Turning attentions towards those missing out, some of the more high-profile absentees come in the form of Rodrygo, Eduardo Camavinga, and Ferland Mendy.
