According to Bild, Manchester United are prepared to compete with Bayern Munich over the signing of Xavi Simons.

It has previously been reported that Simons is looking to depart Paris Saint-Germain this summer, and Der Rekordmeister have emerged as favourites to secure his signature. Despite this, RB Leipzig remain confident that the Dutchman will ultimately decide to return to Saxony after a successful loan spell last season.

Nevertheless, it is understood that personal terms have already been agreed upon between Bayern and Simons’ management.

Nevertheless, as stated in the report, Manchester United have now entered the race to sign the 21-year-old. As well as this, the Premier League outfit are preparing to make a €100 million offer in order to land Simons’ signature.

What is stopping Xavi Simons from leaving PSG?

As it stands, no side is close to finding a breakthrough with PSG. This is because the Parisians are not looking to sell Simons this summer.

If the French champions were to permanently move the 21-year-old on during this transfer window, then PSV Eindhoven would earn 20 percent of the transfer fee. Therefore, PSG are hopeful of loaning Simons out before selling him next season.

Regardless, Bayern currently remain in pole position to sign the Dutch international due to them being able to offer Simons Champions League football.
