Manchester United and Juventus have reportedly reached an agreement for the transfer of Jadon Sancho before deadline day on Friday, 30 August.

Over the past few days, Sancho has been heavily linked to Juventus, with his time at Old Trafford increasingly looking like it has come to an end.

It was stated that Juventus were keen on a loan deal to land the United forward, but only with an option to buy at the end of the 2024/25 season. There was also speculation that the Red Devils would cover some of Sancho’s hefty wages.

Unsurprisingly, United’s preference was either a permanent sale or a loan with an obligation to buy.

As negotiations between Erik ten Hag’s side and the Serie A giants continued, David Ornstein relayed that it was likely that Sancho would get a move before the window shuts, either to Chelsea or Juventus.

A swap deal with Chelsea that would see United sign Raheem Sterling and Sancho head to Stamford Bridge was mooted but from the outset, it always seemed like it would be a difficult transfer to get over the line.

A recent report covered by The Peoples Person claimed that Juventus were in pole position to secure Sancho’s services and now Fabrice Hawkins has revealed that the Turin outfit have won the race for the Englishman.

The RMC Sport journalist wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Agreement between Manchester United and Juventus for Jadon Sancho.”

” Loan + obligation to buy.”

“The player keen to the move.”

Sancho spent the second half of last season on loan at former club Borussia Dortmund after a public disagreement with Ten Hag and helped the Bundesliga club to the Champions League final.

The two patched up their differences earlier this summer but Sancho was excluded from the matchday squad for United’s first two Premier League fixtures of the campaign against Fulham and Brighton and Hove Albion respectively.

The 24-year-old travelled with his teammates to the Amex on Saturday but could only watch as they slipped to a 2-1 loss at the hands of the Seagulls.
