PSG have built a deep squad that has pushed them close to a treble. Howver, one player may be considering a move amid reported interest from clubs abroad.

Under Luis Enrique, PSG have relied on that depth to capture consecutive Ligue 1 titles, the Coupe de France, the UEFA Champions League, and the UEFA Super Cup, rotating heavily to keep players fresh across multiple competitions.

Not every player is happy with a rotational role, though. Some are seeking more consistent playing time, and Kang-in Lee appears to be one of them. He was a key figure in PSG’s Super Cup comeback win over Tottenham Hotspur, showing his influence when given opportunities.

CaughtOffside previously reported, citing sources, that Napoli, Manchester United, and Arsenal are closely monitoring the South Korean midfielder, with Arsenal reportedly expressing interest through direct contact.

With Premier League clubs and others keen on him, Korean journalist Nam Jang-hyun believes that the PSG standout should depart the French capital in search of a more prominent role.

“Korean media and fans are asking a lot of questions about whether Kang-in Lee is being given enough opportunities,” Jang-hyun told Foot Mercato (h/t Foot01). “I know it’s impossible for PSG to play all their starters in every match, but many find it hard to understand why he is consistently left out of important games.

“This is a World Cup year, which raises serious concerns about maintaining his performance level. No matter the size of the club, it’s difficult for a player who can’t play regularly to perform well.”

Are PSG overvaluing Kang-in Lee?

Moreover, Jang-hyun stated his confusion over the reported asking price that the French giants want for Lee, considering the former RCD Mallorca star is a bench player.

“His €45 million price tag is ‘bad,” Jang-hyun added. “Will he remain a permanent rotation player? The amount is excessive for a non-starting player.”
