PSG are into the semifinals of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup after a dramatic win over Bayern Munich on Saturday in Atlanta. The first half was a tense, tight affair with neither side finding the net, but things came alive late in the second.

Désiré Doué finally broke the deadlock in the 78th minute, putting PSG in front. The match then descended into chaos as the French club was reduced to nine men following two red cards. Even so, they held their ground—and remarkably, still managed to find a second goal to seal the win.

Ousmane Dembélé scored with his first touch, finishing off a dazzling solo run by Achraf Hakimi, who danced through Bayern’s defense before laying off a perfect cutback.

Elsewhere, Real Madrid narrowly got past Borussia Dortmund in a back-and-forth 3-2 battle. The Spanish side advanced, but not without a few nervous moments along the way.

The contest isn’t until Wednesday, but PSG manager Luis Enrique is already reportedly making adjustments to the starting 11 that should worry Real Madrid on defense.

Le Parisien reported Sunday (via Le10Sport) that Dembélé is in a favorable position to start the match, as is Lucas Beraldo, with Willian Pacho suspended.

For the semifinal clash, PSG will be without Pacho, while Real Madrid won’t have Dean Huijsen, as both defenders received red cards. After the win over Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois spoke to DAZN and noted the squad’s mentality about playing without the young defender.

“Obviously, it’s a significant loss,” Courtois said. “He had settled in really well, played every game, and gave us a lot of options in the buildup. Now it’s someone else’s turn to be ready—this is Real Madrid, and there are plenty of players waiting for their chance. They have to grab that opportunity with both hands.”
