FC Barcelona have some high-profile targets this summer, so competition from other clubs is to be expected. After all, top clubs want the best players and the Catalan giants are no exceptions when it comes to that. However, unlike their competitors, Barcelona have some obvious financial limitations.
It is exactly due to those limitations that the club has even managed to lose out on Athletic Club winger Nico Williams this summer. The player ultimately ended up renewing his contract despite being heavily linked to La Blaugrana.
Since then, other options have emerged and two players from the English Premier League have stood out in particular. One of those players is Liverpool winger Luis Diaz, who still remains linked to Barcelona with another move for him expected as well.

The other player, however, is someone who truly needs someone to back him right now. That player is none other than Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, who is currently dealing with a rather harsh kind of isolation at the English club.
Now, according to Daily Mail (via Sky Sports), it is potentially not just Barcelona that is considering a move for the English forward. As per the update, Premier League giants Liverpool are now also weighing up the possibility of signing him.
However, while they are considering the signing, no direct advance or move has been made for the Premier League forward just yet. As for Barcelona, they have been looking at the player since quite some time now and he dreams of joining the club as well.
It is still quite an interesting turn of events, however, considering the rivalry between Liverpool and Manchester United. Still, Barcelona should take a hint from such an update and realise as soon as possible that their targets and competitors will not simply sit back and continue to wait for them to make a move.
As for Rashford himself, the player desperately seems to want to make a point and rediscover himself. The forward, who reportedly earns £300k-a-week currently as per Salary Sport, remains at Manchester United for now but will likely not be there by the time the summer transfer window ends.
