The transfer race for Hugo Ekitiké is turning into a bidding war between Premier League clubs: Liverpool, Manchester United, and Newcastle United. Regardless of who wins this race, PSG will benefit from the Frenchman’s move thanks to a 20 percent sell-on clause.
Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg previously reported that Ekitiké is high on Liverpool’s list of attacking targets. But the 23-year-old French forward is aware that a potential move to Anfield likely depends on whether Darwin Núñez is sold.
According to recent information from GIVE ME SPORT, Liverpool are ready to open talks with Eintracht Frankfurt, though any deal may only happen if Núñez departs.
The report also notes that Liverpool are open to negotiating, which has encouraged Frankfurt as they stick to their £86 million valuation. With several new signings already on board, moving Núñez could be the key to creating space for Ekitiké, who scored 22 goals and recorded 12 assists in 48 total matches.

On Wednesday, Plettenberg reported that Liverpool are ready to offer more than Newcastle for Ékitiké, and Eintracht Frankfurt have been made aware.
While Newcastle are in advanced talks with Ékitiké’s camp, they haven’t reached an agreement with Frankfurt yet. Meanwhile, Manchester United remain in the mix and are keeping a close eye on how things develop.
CaughtOffside reported this week, citing sources, that Manchester United are among the clubs making the most serious push for Ékitiké and have already made contact with the striker and his representatives. The club are also considering a player-plus-cash offer to accelerate the deal.
