Argentina and former Barcelona star Lionel Messi has been named MLS Player of the Month for April after a series of stunning performances in Inter Miami colours.
The 36-year-old and current Ballon D’or holder was at his effervescent best as he helped his side to an unbeaten April, which consisted of three wins and a draw.

Of the 12 goals that his side scored across the month, the diminutive Argentine contributed to ten of them, racking up four assists and six goals in just four outings.
It is the second time that he has scooped the award since joining Inter Miami last summer, but is unlikely to be the last. With the 2026 World Cup taking place in the USA, Messi’s swansong is already in full flow stateside.
