Brest are reportedly keen to sign Inter Milan striker Martin Satriano on a permanent basis following last season’s prosperous loan spell.

The Uruguayan has been on the Nerazzurri’s books since making the move from Nacional in January 2020.

The 23-year-old never had a breakthrough with Inter’s first team, but he finally found his niche at Stade Brestois.

Satriano had already spent the 2021/22 campaign on loan at the French side, and then returned last season for another spell.

This proved to be the most successful campaign of his young playing career thus far. He played an important role in the club’s historic qualification to the Champions League qualifying stages.

The Uruguay international scored four goals in 33 Ligue 1 appearances.

In recent days, Brest’s director Gregory Lorenz claimed that his club doesn’t possess the financial means to meet Inter’s requests.

But despite these comments, Foot Mercato (via FcInter1908) insists that the UCL new boys are pushing to bring back Satriano on a permanent basis.

Brest Looking To Sign Martin Satriano From Inter Milan On A Permanent Transfer

The Ligue 1 side is reportedly willing to splash 5 million euros on the young striker. This includes the player’s salary.

So it remains to be seen if this figure would prove sufficient to seal the deal.

Satriano’s contract with Inter is valid until 2027, so he continues to train under Simone Inzaghi’s guidance while awaiting his fate.

The Montevideo native is unlikely to find any space at Appiano Gentile next season. Therefore, he must find himself a new club, whether it’s a return to Brest or a new experience elsewhere.
