With great perseverance and despite the heavy rain that fell during the 90 minutes at CEGAR, Chivas Femenil secured their second consecutive victory by beating Querétaro 0-1 on Matchday 2 of the 2025 Apertura. Antonio Contreras' team now has 6 points out of a possible 6 in the tournament, putting them at the top of the overall standings in the women's circuit.

The conditions of the feathered pitch made the match difficult, forcing quick ball movement and many errors on both sides. As the clock ticked down, the Rebaño settled better on the field and forced Gallos to make mistakes on the break, creating opportunities up front. The reward came in the second half with a penalty that 'Licha' Cervantes converted into a goal, although she could have extended the lead even further.

In the 64th minute, after a great through ball from Denise Castro, Joseline Montoya entered the area unmarked on the right and fired a shot at the near post, but Lozoya made another last-ditch save to send the ball out for a corner kick.- In the 89th minute, 'Licha' picked up a rebound inside the area and, with a half-turn, smashed the ball against the Querétaro goalpost; in the next play, 'Boyi' had a header that went very close to the goal.
