Polish outfit Legia Warsaw have agreed a deal to sign Manchester United academy star Maxi Oyedele on a permanent transfer.

The 19-year-old midfielder leaves Old Trafford for a rather nominal fee, but the deal will include a sell-on clause.

Polish-born, Oyedele returns to his homeland as a professional footballer and it’s an opportunity for the youngster to open a new chapter in his career.

Transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano is responsible for breaking the news this afternoon, stating that Oyedele is already in Poland to put pen to paper.

It’s the nature of the beast at clubs like Manchester United… even some of the most talented youngsters don’t make the grade, but the career doesn’t stop there. United set young players up for successful careers at all levels as we’ve seen down the years.

Oyedele joined United’s academy from Burnley in 2012 before coming through the ranks. Although he appeared during pre-season, the Polish midfielder never made a competitive appearance at senior level for the Reds.

We would like to wish Oyedele the very best at Legia Warsaw.
