Barcelona’s recent victory over Celta Vigo has been completely overshadowed by Robert Lewandowski’s injury.
The Pole picked up what appeared to be a thigh knock, which forced him out of the game at around the 77th minute.
Since then, Barcelona fans have been on edge surrounding Lewandowski’s fitness, with much uncertainty going around the Barça camp about whether or not the forward will return to full fitness early.
A recent report from AS has offered an update on Lewandowski’s fitness, claiming that the Pole looks all set to miss the Copa del Rey final.
Barcelona are slated to face Real Madrid in the cup final on April 26. This means there is only a week remaining before this big tie, and Lewandowski’s injury, therefore, is a major blow for Hansi Flick.

The report adds that there is talk of a potential tear, in which case, the veteran could face up to three weeks on the sidelines.
This is not good news for Barcelona. Although his alternative, Ferran Torres, has been scoring goals for fun this year, Lewandowski’s overall impact in the team is far greater.
The former Bayern Munich forward, apart from his goals, has given the Barcelona attack more leadership in the final third.
This has been crucial in helping Barcelona thrive despite having a relatively young team. But with the Pole ruled out, Flick may have no option but to opt for Ferran in the number nine slot.
Even Dani Olmo has some experience operating as a number nine, though Flick is more likely to put his faith in Ferran Torres.
