Arsenal’s David Raya has clinched the golden glove award ahead of Everton’s Jordan Pickford, it has been confirmed this evening.

The Spaniard has managed 14 shut-outs this season in Arsenal colours, helping his side push for a Premier League title, though they are still relying on Manchester City to slip up.

On a personal note though, the goalkeeper is certain for silverware.

That is because Everton’s Jordan Pickford sits second in the race for the golden glove, with 12 clean sheets. Having now conceded against Luton Town this evening, and with two games left to play, England’s no.1 can only join Raya on 14, which would see them split the award.

After a difficult start to his Arsenal career, it seems Raya has made himself at home in north London, and his move on a permanent deal from Brentford is expected to be formalised this summer.

He certainly could have done little more to win over the Arsenal fans and transfer chiefs.
