Juventus considering Cristiano Guintoli’s position as sporting director | OneFootball

Serie A giants Juventus are undergoing some reconstruction at the club and there are now doubts about Cristiano Guintoli’s future as the sporting director.

Giovanni Albanese has reported that the club’s ownershipb believes that whilee Guintoli has reduced the club’s overall costs, he hasn’t met some other objectives that he had to meet. They generally refer to progress in the Champions League and in the Coppa Italia, where Juve failed miserably.

John Elkann is considering his options and thinking about Guintoli’s future. He is not happy with the season Juve had and still has structural question marks about the Old Lady.

The Italian’s decisions in the transfer window are being looked at closely and he is also being held responsible for the hiring of Thiago Motta. The sale of young players has also not gone down well and a decision could be made in the next few weeks; after Igor Tudor’s future is decided.
