Jonny Evans extends Man Utd stay | OneFootball

Manchester United have confirmed that Jonny Evans has signed a one-year contract extension.

Evans returned to Old Trafford last summer following an eight-year absence and was part of the club’s FA Cup-winning side.

But the Northern Ireland international is set to extend his stay with the Red Devils by another 12 months after agreeing fresh terms.

“I am delighted to have extended my contract at Manchester United for another season,” said Evans.

“To play for this great club and feel the support from our incredible fans is always a privilege.

“Returning to the club last season was an honour; representing the team on the pitch alongside fantastic team-mates under an excellent manager.

“Winning the FA Cup together was an unforgettable experience; I know we can challenge for more trophies in the season ahead.”

Evans will work alongside former United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy, who has joined Erik ten Hag’s backroom staff.
