Inter Milan will only sell Davide Frattesi to Newcastle United if it’s on a permanent basis.

This according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInter1908. They report that the Nerazzurri want to see if the Magpies will make a firm offer to buy the 25-year-old outright, and expect a decision quickly.

Earlier today, Newcastle United reportedly made a big move for Inter midfielder Davide Frattesi.

Reportedly, the 25-year-old is a target for the Premier League side to bolster their midfield in the final couple days of the transfer window.

Newcastle reportedly made Inter an offer to sign Frattesi on an initial loan deal. This would contain a purchase obligation, but one which is conditional and wouldn’t necessarily be triggered.

For their part, Inter do not want to accept such an offer for Frattesi. The Nerazzurri either want to sell the Italian international, or at least loan him with a clear obligation, or else keep him.

The Gazzetta dello Sport report that Inter are not going to push Frattesi out the door after Newcastle’s offer.

However, the Nerazzurri value the former Sassuolo midfielder at €40 million.

Therefore, if Newcastle are to make an offer in line with that, they would be willing to sell Frattesi.

However, the Gazzetta anticipate, Inter want things to move quickly if they’re going to sell the 25-year-old.

If Inter do sell Frattesi, it will change their plans for the remainder of the transfer window. In that case, they could make a big signing before deadline day using the fee that they receive for the midfielder.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri want Newcastle to make their intentions clear very soon.
