According to Panini’s Instagram account, Inzaghi won the maiden edition of the award by earning 55% of the votes.

The Nerazzurri boss emerged as the favorite candidate after guiding his team to the Scudetto title. Inter won the league by a landslide with five matches to spare.

They mathematically secured the title by beating AC Milan in the Derby della Madonnina a couple of weeks ago.

Therefore, the 48-year-old was widely praised for the way his team operated this season. The Beneamata also produced great displays and boast a magnificent goal difference. They only lost two matches thus far, both stunningly coming against the struggling Sassuolo.

Therefore, Inzaghi’s colleagues handed him the award in a majority vote.

Inter Milan Coach Simone Inzaghi Beats Thiago Motta For Best Serie A Coach Award

The Inter manager’s main rival was Thiago Motta who has been equally impressive this term. The Italo-Brazilian is in charge of Bologna who are now on the cusp of securing a historic Champions League qualification.

The Emilians currently sit 4th in the Serie A table, and their style of play is one of the most compelling in Europe.

Nevertheless, the 41-year-old’s exploits weren’t enough to pip Inzaghi for the first place.

As the organizers revealed, Inzaghi will receive the award in a ceremony held in Rimini between the 6th and 8th of June.
