Inter Milan make contact to sign Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku | OneFootball

Christopher Nkunku (27) is expected to leave Chelsea this summer. Linked with Premier League and Bundesliga sides, L’Équipe now understands that Inter Milan have made contact with the Frenchman.

Nkunku was used sparingly by Enzo Maresca last season, with the former RB Leipzig man mainly featuring in the club’s successful UEFA Europa Conference League campaign. Whilst he is expected to depart, Maresca doesn’t see his departure as an absolute necessity; the Paris Saint-Germain project can play a part in the project, the Italian believes.

However, Nkunku’s representatives are aware that this is a critical juncture in his career and they are looking for solutions. Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig have been linked, as have Arsenal and Manchester United.

Inter Milan have now made contact with the player’s camp to explore a potential move. Liverpool are not in the race, L’Équipe understands. The Frenchman, should he leave Chelsea, wants to play at a top-level side.
