MIAMI – The Leagues Cup 2025 continues on Wednesday with six matches as part of Phase One of the Concacaf-sanctioned competition between MLS and Liga MX clubs, as they battle for the crown and three spots in the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup.

Inter Miami CF welcomes Atlas FC to Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Winners of the 2023 edition, Inter Miami CF enter with a 12W-6D-4L record in league play. Lionel Messi enters in fine form as the co-leader in the MLS Golden Boot race with 18 goals, while Luis Suárez leads the Florida side with ten assists. The club recently presented World Cup winner Rodrigo De Paul as a reinforcement.

Atlas FC will seek to reach the Quarterfinals for the first time after suffering elimination in the Round of 32 in the last two editions. The Rojinegros are 1-1-1 to start the Liga MX Apertura 2025 season and are one of the top scoring teams early on, including Uroš Đurđević who finished in a three-way tie for top scorer of the Clausura 2025 season.

Club Necaxa vs. Atlanta United FC

Necaxa meets Atlanta United FC at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.

Necaxa reached the Knockout Round for the first time in the 2024 edition. Los Rayos are 1-1-1 to start the Apertura season and were the team with the second-most goals in the Clausura 2025 season, led by Díber Cambindo, who finished second in the top scorer race with 11 goals.

Atlanta United will look reach the Knockout Stage of the Leagues Cup for the first time. The Five Stripes are led by Emmanuel Latte Lath with seven goals and Saba Lobjanidze with seven assists and also feature club legends Brad Guzan and Miguel Almirón in their ranks.

Pumas UNAM vs. Orlando City SC

Pumas UNAM and Orlando City SC will match wits at Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando, Florida.

Looking to improve in Manager Efraín Juárez’s first full season, Pumas UNAM recently reinforced its roster with iconic Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas, famed Welsh player Aaron Ramsey, and 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup runner-up Pedro Vite, to add to a roster that included 2023/24 Concacaf Men's Player of the Year Award winner Adalberto Carrasquilla.

Orlando City enters the tournament with an 11W-8D-6L record and one of the protagonists in the MLS Eastern Conference. Martín Ojeda leads the side with 13 goals and 12 assists, the second most in MLS in the latter.

Minnesota United FC vs. Club Querétaro

Minnesota United FC and Club Querétaro face off at Allianz Field in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Both sides will seek to match or better their run in 2023, when the clubs reached the Quarterfinals.

The Loons enter with an 12W-8D-5L and the third best team in the MLS Western Conference. Canadian men’s national team forward Tani Oluwaseyi leads the side with nine goals. Joaquín Pereyra leads the team with nine assists.

Club Querétaro will look to the Leagues Cup to bounce back from a winless start to its Apertura campaign. Jonathan Perlaza has struck the lone goal in the team’s early season.

Club América vs. Real Salt Lake

Club América faces Real Salt Lake at America First Field in Sandy, Utah.

Club América, was one of the furthest advancing Mexican teams in the 2024 edition, reaching the Quarterfinals, and will seek to win the Leagues Cup to add to its historic trophy case that includes 16 Liga MX titles. The likes of Brian Rodríguez, Alejandro Zendejas, Henry Martín, and Luis Ángel Malagón headline the current roster.

Real Salt Lake will seek to return to the Quarterfinals, where it competed on invitation in the 2019 edition. Diego Luna, one of the rising stars in the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup, leads the team with eight goals and four assists.

Portland Timbers vs. Atlético de San Luis

Portland Timbers host Atlético de San Luis at Providence Park in Portland, Oregon.

One of the top five teams in the Western Conference with a 10-7-7 record, the Portland Timbers seek to reach the Quarterfinals for the first time. Antony leads the side with six goals, while David Da Costa leads the side with eight assists. The Timbers also field former Liga MX star Jonathan Rodríguez, who has been out recently due to injury.

Atletico de San Luis will seek to reach the Knockout Round for the first time in their third appearance. Sebastien Salles-Lamonge led the Potosinos with six goals in the Clausura campaign. Summer signing João Pedro leads the club with two goals from its three Apertura matches.
