Here's how Arne Slot's AMAZING pre-season squad could look like

Just taking a look at previous squads, Slot named a 28-men squad to Liverpool's trip to North America last year. Meanwhile, the year before that Jurgen Klopp named a 27-men squad for the club's trip to Asia.

We are expecting a similar sized squad this time around. Although it will depend on what the future holds for the likes of Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa.

For this prediction, we've assumed they will not be involved on the tour, so do not expect their names.

First of all the goalkeeping department will be relatively simple. In the past, Liverpool managers have always named four goalkeepers for the tour. This time around, we expect those names to be the following:

Alisson Becker

Giorgi Mamardashvili

Freddie Woodman

Armin Pecsi

This will mean three new faces in the squad. Whether all of them will get a chance remains to be seen.

In defence, Jarell Quansah will not be at Liverpool by the time the tour starts. There is the prospect of Marc Guehi joining up with the squad, and it will also be interesting to see whether all three left-backs are also named in the team, with Milos Kerkez, Kostas Tsimikas and Andy Robertson all available.

If they are, it will be bad news for Owen Beck and Luke Chambers, who are unlikely to be selected.

We expect Liverpool's defence to look like this:

Virgil van Dijk

Ibrahima Konate

Joe Gomez

Wellity Lucky

Amara Nallo

Jeremie Frimpong

Milos Kerkez

Andy Robertson

Kostas Tsimikas

Conor Bradley

Nallo and Lucky are the two most promising young defenders in the academy and they will provide extra depth in the centre-back department.

This brings the squad's total number to 14, which means we have around 14 players left to select. Moving onto the midfield, as we've mentioned Elliott and Morton will not be up for selection.

But Liverpool's other senior options will be available, barring any injuries. That means, there won't be many opportunities for other youngsters to fight themselves into the squad. Although we do expect Trey Nyoni and James McConnell to be involved:

Wataru Endo

Dominik Szoboszlai

Ryan Gravenberch

Alexis Mac Allister

Curtis Jones

Trey Nyoni

James McConnell

In attack, Slot is again spoiled for choice with most of his first team options available meaning he will have a star studded cast to take to Asia. There should however be opportunities for Ben Doak, Rio Ngumoha and Jayden Danns to be involved in order to make-up a 29-men squad:

Jayden Danns

Diogo Jota

Florian Wirtz

Luis Diaz

Mohamed Salah

Cody Gakpo

Ben Doak

Rio Ngumoha
