Fulham have won their last two meetings with Tottenham at Craven Cottage, despite having lost seven successive encounters in West London beforehand, seeking three consecutive home victories over Spurs for the first time since 2006.

Fulham vs Tottenham Hotspur Preview

With ten games to go in this Premier League season, Fulham kick off three places and eight points above Tottenham, few could've forecast that back in August, so who will win this London derby?

The Cottagers are seeking to qualify for Europe for the first time since 2011, albeit their hopes of a top eight finish suffered a set back last Saturday. Despite taking the lead through Raúl Jiménez's stupendous strike, the Whites were beaten 2-1 by Brighton in Sussex, the winner coming from the penalty spot in the eighth minute of injury time. As a result, Marco Silva's side have now won four and lost four of their last eight, despite only suffering one defeat in 12 beforehand.

This mixed recent form means Fulham have slipped down to tenth, three points below the final potential European position, currently occupied by Aston Villa. Thus, victory for the Cottagers on Sunday is required to propel them back into European contention.

Meantime, Tottenham Hotspur avoided yet another Premier League defeat last Sunday, fighting back from 2-0 down to salvage a draw against Bournemouth. Pape Matar Sarr's cross come spectacular shot sparking the comeback, before Son Heung-min converted a late spot-kick. Ange Postecoglou's team did enjoyed three successive league victories in February. However, these are the only three wins the Lilywhites have collected across their last 12 outings, hence why they remain rooted in the bottom half of the table.

Thus, for Tottenham, their campaign is all about the Europa League, making it a great relief that they reached the quarter-finals on Thursday. A goal down from the first leg in Alkmaar, Spurs, just about, saw off AZ 3-2 on aggregate, with Wilson Odobert the scorer of a brace, while James Maddison was on target in-between. They'll now take on Eintracht Frankfurt in the last eight, welcoming the 2022 winners to North London for the first leg on 10 April. With that huge tie to come, can Tottenham collect three points at Craven Cottage, as they attempt to climb up the table?

Fulham Team News

Kenny Tete, Reiss Nelson and Harry Wilson remain sidelined, while Saša Lukić is serving the second of his two-match suspension; the Serbian was a major miss at Brighton last weekend. In his absence, Andreas Pereira is likely to partner Sander Berge at the base of midfield once again, chosen over Harrison Reed.

Marco Silva, somewhat surprisingly, reverted back to a back three last weekend, with Issa Diop returning, so will he stick with this system here?

Fulham predicted lineup vs Tottenham Hotspur: (3-4-2-1): Leno; Andersen, Diop, Bassey; Tete, Pereira, Berge, Robinson; Smith Rowe, Iwobi, Jiménez.

Fulham Player to Watch vs Tottenham Hotspur

Raúl Jiménez took his tally to 12 for the campaign by the South Coast on Saturday, so can the Mexican now add to his four career goals against Spurs, only on target against West Ham, Everton, Southampton and Santos Laguna with greater frequency?

Tottenham Hotspur Team News

Spurs' treatment room is slowly emptying, most-notably seeing Cristian Romero partner Micky van de Ven on Thursday, the duo starting together for the first time since 8 December. Elsewhere, fit again Wilson Odobert was the hero against AZ, bagging a brace, meaning Radu Drăgușin, Kevin Danso, Dejan Kuluševski, Timo Werner and Richarlison are thereby the only players sidelined.

Nevertheless, Ange Postecoglou is expected to rotate a bit, considering the quick turnaround, with Archie Gray, Ben Davies and Destiny Udogie amongst those in line to return to defence. Rodrigo Bentancur will be back in midfield, having been suspended for the Europa League tie. Lastly, in attack, Tottenham have agreed to pay around £55m to secure Mathys Tel's services, but the Frenchman can't get a kick at the moment, with fit again Dominic Solanke leading the line.

Tottenham Hotspur predicted lineup vs Fulham: (4-3-3): Vicario; Spence, Gray, Davies, Udogie; Bentancur, Bergvall, Odobert, Maddison, Son Heung-min, Solanke.

Tottenham Hotspur Player to Watch vs Fulham

Son Heung-min scored his 11th of the season last Sunday, albeit the South Korean international has only ever scored once in nine meetings with Fulham, yet to net in five attempts at Craven Cottage.

Fulham vs Tottenham Hotspur Prediction

This game is likely to be high-scoring, but we're backing Fulham to claim three points, making the most of their free-week, against a Spurs side likely to be jaded: Fulham 2-1 Tottenham Hotspur.
