Juventus and Manchester City will meet on Thursday to determine the winner of Group G in the Club World Cup, and there are at least four reasons why the Serie A and Premier League giants want to finish at the top.
Juventus and Manchester City have already qualified for the Round of 16 at the Club World Cup, so their imminent meeting at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando will determine the Group G winner.
The two sides have the same number of points and goal difference, but the Bianconeri have scored one goal more than City, so any draw will allow the Bianconeri to finish top of their group.

As highlighted by Sky Sport Italia, finishing first will give several benefits to both sides.
First of all, teams from Group G cross paths with Real Madrid’s Group H, and with the Merengues likely to win their group, it will be necessary to avoid a runners-up finish to avoid meeting Xabi Alonso‘s men in the Round of 16.
Weather and travel factors are also not to be overlooked.

The Group G winner, in fact, will meet either RB Salzburg or Simone Inzaghi’s Al-Hilal in the Round of 16 at 21:00 local time in Orlando on Monday, June 30. Even the subsequent quarter-final will be played in Orlando, allowing the Group G winner to stay in the city for several days.
On the other hand, the Group G runners-up will play at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Tuesday, July 1, at 15:00 local time, facing hot weather and, likely, Real Madrid.
