Two former members of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid have this week backed Los Blancos to wrestle back Spanish football supremacy this coming season.

This of course comes ahead of the new La Liga campaign being kicked into gear this weekend.

The 2024/25 term saw Barcelona dominate not only in league play, but across all of domestic competition in Spain.

Under the watch of new manager Hansi Flick, the Blaugrana ran riot to the tune of triumphs in all of La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and Spanish Super Cup.

This time round, though, it is arch rivals Real Madrid who head into the season with a new face in the dugout.

And as alluded to above, two ex-Blancos players have this week revealed their respective takes that as much will prove decisive in the capital club dethroning Barcelona.

As per a report from Diario Sport, citing DAZN, Guti and Sami Khedira agree on the fact that ‘Xabi Alonso’s team will be league champions’.
