Hansi Flick is not yet certain if Robert Lewandowski can return for the upcoming Champions League semifinal tie between Barcelona and Inter Milan.
The Blaugranas coach gave an update in a press conference ahead of his team’s La Liga clash with Real Valladolid, as reported by FCInterNews. He also stated that Marc-Andre Ter Stegen is ready.
Barcelona face Inter Milan in the Champions League semifinals over the next couple weeks.
The first leg of the tie is next Wednesday. And then the second is on the following Tuesday.
And Barcelona are likely to be without an absolutely key player for at the very least the first leg.
Striker Robert Lewandowski picked up an injury in Barcelona’s La Liga win over Celta Vigo over the weekend. The club confirmed that he suffered a semitendonous injury in his left high.

Robert Lewandowski would certainly be a big miss for Barcelona.
The 36-year-old Polish international is the Blaugranas’ top scorer this season. He has been in each of the past three seasons since joining from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022.
Barcelona coach Hansi Flick stated that “we’ll have to wait and see” as far as Lewandowski’s fitness.
“We don’t know when he’ll return. Or how long he’ll be out for.”
“I prefer not to say anything else,” Flick said of the striker’s fitness.
Meanwhile, the Barcelona coach addressed the situation of another striker with fitness concerns, Ferran Torres.
“Ferran is a very important player for us,” Flick said. “He must be managed.”
“He’s having a great moment in his career, with ten goals in La Liga.”
Flick commented that Torres “plays at Number Nine.”
“He’s fast, but he also knows how to control the ball and support the defense.”
The Barcelona coach said that “I like seeing him like this, but we have to manage him. Because we need him from now until the end of the season.”
And Flick also said that goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen is “ready” after a lengthy injury spell. “I’ll talk to him, and decide when the best time to use him is.”
