Former German referee Manuel Grafe believes Lautaro Martinez’s equaliser against Bayern Munich last night should have been disallowed due to El Toro’s handball in the build-up: ‘Madness…’
A 2-2 draw between Inter and Bayern Munich in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday allowed the Nerazzurri to qualify for the tournament’s semifinals for the second time in the last three seasons.
A Lautaro Martinez goal in the second half quickly cancelled out Harry Kane’s opener, but former German referee Grafe argued that Inter’s goal should not have stood.

“It was difficult for [referee] Vincic to see it in the chaos, but this is why we have VAR,” Grafe wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
Grafe posted a frame of Lautaro Martinez’s suspected handball, arguing that the Inter striker surely touched the ball with his arm before scoring.
“He missed the header, but stopped the ball like that and scored! Madness…” concluded the former German official.
Lautaro Martinez also found the net in the first leg against Bayern Munich and has bagged eight goals in 11 Champions League games this season.
