Chelsea attacking midfielder Cole Palmer has sent a message to Chelsea fans after he fired a host of blanks against Southampton last night.

The Blues won the game 4-0 in what was a much needed convincing performance, with goals coming from Christopher Nkunku, Pedro Neto, Levi Colwill, and Marc Cucurella.

EXCLUSIVE! Whose jobs will be at risk at Chelsea if they do not get UCL football this season?

The Saints were a very poor opposition of course, but Chelsea really needed a big win and a big performance, and that is exactly what they did last night right in the nick of time as they look to keep challenging for that all important Champions League spot.

Neto was superb playing as the number 9 and as well as getting his goal, he has explained why he loves playing as a striker with a hilarious answer!

Palmer played a bit better than he has been lately but even still, he missed a host of easy chances to score, chances that you would have put your house on him scoring not so long ago. It really was strange to see.

Palmer says he will be back

As you can see in the image above that Palmer posted on his Instagram last night, the England international vows that he will be back an urges Blues fans not to worry.

Of course, the missed chances do not matter at all because Palmer’s team mates turned up to provide the finesse last night when they needed it the most.

Palmer did continue to pull the attacking strings though, and we did see a bit more confidence from him again on the ball and he was at least getting in those goal scoring positions.

I have no doubt at all that he truly will be back soon in amongst the goals and assists, as he has been for the last two seasons at the club.
