Club Brugge are braced to welcome back an old favourite to the Jan Breydel on Wednesday evening. The Belgian side will put on a welcome for their former academy product Charles De Ketelaere, who was sold to AC Milan for a hefty sum a few seasons ago. The forward has since moved to Bergamo to join Atalanta, where he has really begun to flourish. The 23-year-old has played 35 games this season, scoring 11 goals and grabbing 10 assists. In the last season he played for Club, De Ketelaere scored an impressive 18 goals in 49 games.
Club’s Serie A opponents come into the clash having won 5-0 away from home against Hellas Verona at the weekend. The side are currently sat in third place, just five points behind Napoli in first and four points behind Inter in second. The side are looking to have another successful European season, having won the Europa League last year to lift their first ever European trophy.
Club saw a long unbeaten run come to an end against Manchester City in their last European game. They then lost 2-1 to Antwerp. They have since qualified for the Cup final with a 1-1 draw against league leaders Genk before a narrow 1-0 win over OH Leuven at the weekend. Club are chasing their 20th league title this season. They are sat in second place, six points behind leaders Genk.
