The players at risk to be sold if Borussia Dortmund miss out on the Champions League | OneFootball

Sport Bild reports that Borussia Dortmund will need to make a big sale if they miss out on Champions League qualification this summer.

Dortmund are currently 11th in the Bundesliga and seven points off of the Champions League spot with their only lifeline being the fact that the teams above them keep tripping up.

If Dortmund miss out on Europe’s premier competition, Karim Adeyemi, Jamir Gittens and Gregor Kobel could be sold.

Adeyemi had attracted interest from Napoli in the winter but was against moving to Italy. The summer price tag for the winger will be €50m and Dortmund hopes the price can rise to above €60m with bonuses included. However, Adeyemi will have to improve his performance.

Gittens is expected to be Dortmund’s next big sale. Chelsea and Bayern Munich have both been linked to the winger in the past and Dortmund will hope for around €80-100m for the 20-year-old.

Finally, a sale of Kobel would depend on if the goalkeeper wants to stay at the club. If Kobel wants to leave, then Dortmund will sell him and will hope for around €50m. Chelsea have also been linked to the Swiss international as they look to solve their goalkeeping problem. In the winter, Dortmund already signed Kobel’s replacement in Diant Ramaj from Ajax.
