West Ham are set to launch a bid to sign Ngal’ayel Mukau from Lille.

The 20 year old Congo international has been on the clubs radar for some time, with club insider ExWHUEmployee reporting on The West Ham Way previously he was a player of interest for Graham Potter and Kyle Macaulay,

Mukau impressed when he lined up against the Hammers in our victory over Lille in the Boylesports Cup at the London Stadium a couple of weeks back, with it believed the display reaffirmed the clubs position to try and sign the player this summer.

Frustration and anger is mounting following the opening day loss to Sunderland, so the club are under considerable pressure to act – with the midfield an area of clear attention needed.

Edson Alvarez is nearing a departure from the club, which will then trigger the club to act and get bids out for targets, with Mukau to be next key target for Potter.
