Without an approved stadium in Kolwezi to host African competition matches, AS Simba had to look elsewhere for a venue to welcome their rivals.

AS Simba will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup for the 2025-2026 season, after clinching the DR Congo Cup with a 1-0 win over FC MK at the Stade des Martyrs de la Pentecôte in the Congolese capital.

The Kolwezi club reached out to TP Mazembe to request permission to use the Corbeaux Stadium in Lubumbashi. The management of the DR Congo giants gave the green light.

By succeeding AS Vita Club as winners of the 59th edition of the DR Congo Cup, AS Simba not only earned their spot in the CAF Cup but also pocketed a handsome reward of $250,000.
