Barring a major twist, the Burkinabè winger is heading to Brentford.
Dango Ouattara / Bournemouth
Dango Ouattara is on the verge of leaving. According to several sources close to the matter, AFC Bournemouth and Brentford FC have reached a verbal agreement for the transfer of the 23-year-old forward. The deal is reportedly valued at around €40 million, excluding bonuses.
The Burkina Faso international, who joined Bournemouth from FC Lorient in January 2023, is now set to take the next step in his career. After netting 7 goals and providing 4 assists in 32 Premier League appearances last season for the Cherries, Dango Ouattara quickly caught the eye of several Premier League clubs. After a few weeks of negotiations, the two clubs have come to an agreement.
Bournemouth has given the green light for the player to undergo his medical with Brentford in the coming days, a clear sign that negotiations are well advanced. If everything goes according to plan, the official signing should take place soon. Able to play both on the wing and in a more central role, Dango Ouattara is known for his speed, his one-on-one dribbling ability, and his defensive commitment.
