Borussia Dortmund are reportedly lining up a shock move for Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood.

The 22 year old forward has enjoyed a successful season back in professional football at Getafe where he has scored 10 goals and created six more for his side.

The player’s success has been even more difficult to accept when it is considered how poor United’s wing play has been this season.

Antony and Marcus Rashford have both been woefully out of form and Amad Diallo has only recently started getting any sort of meaningful action at the club.

However, it seems very unlikely that Greenwood has a future at Old Trafford and this has seen numerous clubs primed to swoop in and take the player away from Manchester on a permanent basis.

The latest clubs to be on his tail are Napoli, Atletico Madrid, Chelsea and Saudi Arabian sides.

However, The Mirror report that there is a new club in the mix for the youngster, one United know very well.

The paper states “Borussia Dortmund have joined Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Napoli in the chase for Mason Greenwood.”

“Champions League finalists Dortmund have entered the race, with their interest raising the possibility of a double United deal that includes Jadon Sancho.”

The prospect of Dortmund taking United’s two young English talents is certainly a fascinating one but would be quite galling for the Old Trafford faithful to accept.

It has been difficult viewing to see Sancho impress on the European stage as die Schwarzgelben have progressed all the way to the Champions League final to take on Real Madrid.

Dortmund are certainly the favourites to land Sancho permanently as the English winger seems happy with life in Germany, but it is questionable whether they could afford either player, never mind both, despite the riches their run to the Champions League final will bring them.
