“Almost 30 years in a management position at FC Bayern, 14 years on the board – Andreas Jung is an absolute role model in terms of continuity, passion and team spirit,” said Hainer. “He was a fan of this club from an early age and always identified wholeheartedly with the club. That characterised his work. He has always shown how and what it's all about, always as a team, always with the fans in mind. We are extremely grateful to him and wish him all the best for the future.” Dreesen continued: “Andreas Jung is a real can-do man. There's no such thing as ‘can't’ with him. I would like to thank Andy from the bottom of my heart for the excellent and always trusting cooperation on the board of FC Bayern München AG. He joined FC Bayern in 1996, was a member of the board from 2010 and played a key role in driving marketing forward. During his time, sales increased sevenfold – that says it all. In addition, not only his professional but also his human qualities are remarkable. Working with him was a great pleasure from the first to the last day. We wish him all the best for this new chapter in his life.”

Jung thanked everyone for their time together: “FC Bayern means everything to me. I will always be a fan of this club and would like to thank all its supporters. I’m grateful and proud that I was able to contribute to the development of FC Bayern for almost 30 years. I wish the club continued success and all the best for the future.”

Jung was born on 23 November 1961 in Rüdesheim and started at the German record champions in 1996 with Sport-Werbe GmbH, then became head of the sponsoring and events department, a director in 2002, authorised signatory in 2009 and was promoted to the executive board in 2010. Most recently, he was responsible for corporate partnerships and marketing as well as the overseas offices (New York, Shanghai, Bangkok) and the marketing and PR of the Allianz Arena.

Jung, who informed the club in November that he would not be renewing his contract, which expires in the summer, will remain in office until 30 June 2024. From 1 July, FC Bayern's executive board will consist of three members with Dreesen (CEO), Michael Diederich (deputy CEO, finances & sales) and Max Eberl (sport).
