Barcelona’s experienced striker, Robert Lewandowski, recently chatted with Le Parisien, covering various subjects. Naturally, being a French media outlet, some of his comments revolved around Paris Saint-Germain.

One of the topics that the former Bayern Munich sensation touched on was his relationship with Kylian Mbappé. The veteran goal-scorer notes that there’s an excellent relationship with the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.

“We have a good relationship,” Lewandowski told the outlet (h/t Le10Sport). “When I see him, I always have a very good feeling. We can talk about a lot of things with Kylian. If you talk to him, you know he’s a very serious guy. Well no, not serious, but you know that the conversation with him always goes in the right direction. Even though he is young, he already has a lot of knowledge in his head.”

The relationship will be tested next season, as many expect the Frenchman to join Real Madrid when his contract with the capital club expires in June. If he does head to the Spanish capital, these two will be rivals for the 2024-25 campaign.

Moreover, Lewandowski believes that if the Frenchman heads to the Spanish capital, the Ligue 1 team is ready to carry on without him. With Bradley Barcola coming in and Xavi Simons on the verge of returning, Paris Saint-Germain has a bunch of young talents with the ability to step up and fill the gap in production.
