Roony Bardghji is once again on FC Barcelona’s radar. The Swedish right winger from FC Copenhagen has been on the Catalans’ radars for more than a year now, and that interest has now intensified into a concrete objective.

Reports of the Blaugrana’s concrete interest broke earlier this week. Soon after, it emerged that Bardghji’s agent was in Barcelona, where he had lunch with Deco, Bojan Krkic, and Alejandro Echevarria.

Bardghji can be signed for €2-3 million

Now, according to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona’s objective is to secure Bardghji – a highly sought-after and promising player – whose contract situation makes him a near-irresistible market opportunity.

It is now up to the sporting department to decide whether to wait until December, when Bardghji’s contract expires, to sign him or to pay a modest €2-3 million fee to bring him in right away and prevent other clubs from stepping in.

Barcelona have found Bardghji highly receptive to the move, and reaching an agreement over a contract with him would not be a problem.

Marseille previously pursued the winger but pulled out due to concerns over his condition following an ACL tear in his right knee during a training session on 2 May 2024.

Bardghji returned on 31 March and went on to play six matches, contributing to Copenhagen’s league title. Barcelona have medical reports confirming he has fully recovered.

For a modest sum of just €2–3 million, Barcelona could secure a player who, a year and a half ago, had attracted attention from Real Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea, and Bayer Leverkusen.

Should he arrive, Bardghji could initially play with the reserve team but train regularly with the first team under Hansi Flick.

However, if he quickly shows the same quality he displayed before his injury, particularly at the Champions League level, the German coach would make room for him, as he has done with other young players who deliver on the pitch.
