Atalanta are ready to stick to their position as their transfer standoff with Inter Milan target Ademola Lookman reaches another level.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

Yesterday the biggest bombshell yet in the summer transfer soap opera between Ademola Lookman, Atalanta, and Inter Milan arrived.

Behind the scenes, the 27-year-old former RB Leipzig forward has been pressuring Atalanta into selling him. By all accounts, he only wants Inter this summer.

Lookman had already scrubbed all traces of his current employers from his social media accounts a couple days prior. That was not exactly a subtle way to send a message.

But yesterday, Lookman took his grievance to a new level. He openly demanded a transfer.

Furthermore, there were harsh words as the player accused Atalanta of “poor treatment” and “breaking a promise.”

Lookman’s public statement was obviously intended to put the pressure on Atalanta.

La Dea are feeling the heat. And undoubtedly wondering if they have mishandled things with Lookman to get to this point.

But at the same time, reports Tuttosport, La Dea are not going to change their stance.

The Bergamo team have always conveyed that while they’re willing to sell Lookman or any other player, it has to be on their terms.

Therefore, Atalanta still intend to sell Lookman when they want, to the club they want, and for a fee that they demand.
