The winger spent last season on loan at Fulham but endured an injury-hit campaign at Craven Cottage. He made just five starts in the Premier League, before a serious hamstring injury curtailed his campaign.
Nelson does not feature in Mikel Arteta’s plans at Arsenal for the upcoming campaign and will move to Brentford in search of regular minutes.
The 25-year-old has turned down interest from European clubs in favour of Brentford, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that Nelson is due to undergo a medical imminently.
Brentford are keen to bolster their attacking options in the final hours of the transfer window, as Yoane Wissa nears a £55m move to Newcastle. The Bees also lost Bryan Mbeumo earlier this summer, who joined Manchester United for a £72m fee.
