Arsenal have added four youngsters to their wishlist and will continue to monitor their situations ahead of transfer deadline day. The Gunners are not done strengthening despite already being very active in the market.

Piero Hincapié has emerged as their latest target in recent days, and the club are believed to be accelerating a move for the Bayer Leverkusen man. Jakub Kiwior’s imminent departure has prompted this reaction, with Hincapié seen as a like-for-like replacement. Despite the impending arrival of an eighth signing, Arsenal remain active and could make further additions.

Four new names linked

According to the Mail via The Mirror, Arsenal have added four players to their wishlist ahead of the summer deadline. As per the report, two of these are defenders while the others are midfielders. Notably, one of them has already moved clubs this summer, but is viewed as a long-term prospect.

In defence, the Gunners are monitoring the Spanish duo of Jon Martin and Arnau Martinez. Martin, a 19-year-old centre-half at Real Sociedad, is attracting attention after a breakout 2024/25 season. Further forward, 21-year-old Oscar Gloukh is another name being watched, although he only recently joined Ajax from RB Salzburg and is considered a long-term option. Ghanaian talent Caleb Yirenkyi, currently with Nordsjælland, has also been highlighted after an impressive few months for club and country.

Long-term strategy

Their young profiles suggest these players are being tracked with the long term in mind. It is unlikely that Arsenal will add further signings without outgoings first. The Gunners have already spent heavily on new names while also welcoming players back from loan spells during the summer.
