Chemsdine Talbi’s Man of the Match performance against Atalanta on Wednesday evening will have caught the eye of many. At just 19-years-old, the young winger will certainly be on scouting lists of the top clubs in Europe. Talbi has had a real breakout season for the blue and black half of Brugge, with five goals and three assists in 30 games this season. He may well have a decision to make in the summer about staying with Club Brugge or moving on to another top side, as there will certainly be clubs ready to offer a large sum for his signature.

At international level, Talbi also has a decision to make. While he has represented Belgium at youth level, he has yet to be capped at senior or U21 level. This means he is still eligible to change his international allegiance to Morocco. The North African side has a sizeable migrant community in Belgium, with many Belgian/Moroccan players having come through Pro League sides in recent years. After last nights display, the Atlas Lions may want to move quickly to bring Talbi into the fold. If he does choose to go with the Moroccan side, he could play himself into the sides AFCON squad for the tournament at the end of the year.

However, Belgium seems the more likely option for Talbi. With former Club man Vincent Mannaert now in charge of the Red Devils, the relationship that has already been fostered between the two could prove pivotal.
