Inter Milan raises the stakes with a €43 million plus bonuses bid for the Nigerian winger.

Ademola Lookman is edging closer to Inter Milan. On July 29, the Lombard club submitted a new offer to Atalanta Bergamo to secure the services of the Nigerian international. This time, the Nerazzurri are getting closer to the demands of La Dea, who are asking for €50 million.
Inter Milan has targeted the African Ballon d'Or winner to boost their attacking options and are determined not to give up on this deal until it is successfully concluded during this summer transfer window. After an initial €40 million bid was rejected, the Milanese club has come back with an improved offer. According to Sky Italia, Inter Milan has sent Atalanta Bergamo a new offer of €43 million plus bonuses to secure the transfer of Ademola Lookman.
Giuseppe Marotta, Inter's president, and Luca Percassi, Atalanta's CEO, reportedly discussed the transfer during a meeting on the sidelines of the Serie A League Council. A response from the Bergamo club is now expected in the coming days.
"I won't hide the fact that within the next two or three days, we will reach the end of discussions with Atalanta. If the conditions are right, we will enter into full negotiations and maybe finalize the deal; otherwise, we will look elsewhere," Marotta said at a press conference prior to this second proposal.
