Achraf Hakimi in the running for African Footballer of the Year 2023 | OneFootball

Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi features on the list of nominees for the title of African Footballer of the Year 2023.

After a remarkable start to the season in Luis Enrique's side, Achraf Hakimi has been named in the list of 10 finalists for the African Footballer of the Year 2023 award. The Moroccan international is joined by his national teammates Sofyan Amrabat (Manchester United), Yacine Bounou (Al-Hilal) and Youssef En-Nesyri (Sevilla FC), largely due to their performances during the World Cup in Qatar.

Riyad Mahrez (Al Ahli SC), Victor Osimhen (Napoli), Franck Zambo Anguissa (Napoli), Vincent Aboubakar (Besiktas), Sadio Mané (Al-Nassr) and Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) are also in with a chance of taking home the trophy. As a reminder, the ceremony will take place on 11 December in Rabat, Morocco.
