The winter transfer window has closed, and Alexander Isak will be staying at Newcastle United. While there wasn’t much talk about a move this winter, it’s clear that several clubs will be targeting him come summer.

For now, the Magpies are working on a contract extension to keep Isak at St. James’ Park for the long term.

A previous report from Fichajes suggests that PSG manager Luis Enrique is keen on the Swedish striker. Isak’s speed, technical skills, and finishing ability are all qualities that would fit well with the attacking style Enrique wants to bring to Paris.

On the other hand, FootballTransfers has revealed that although Arsenal has shown interest, it’s Liverpool who are currently the most determined suitors and lead the race for his signature.

To boost their attack even more, PSG should consider signing Isak, according to RMC Sport’s Daniel Riolo. Moreover, he believes that certain players should be used to help fund the pursuit of the Sweden international.

“Wouldn’t you go all-in on Alexander Isak if you were PSG?” Riolo said (h/t Le10Sport). “PSG could very well go all-in. Can we swap Ramos and Kolo Muani for Isak? Can we make a package like that? You also add Asensio to the package. And come on, I’ll throw in Kang-In Lee too.”

Alan Shearer, the former Newcastle star, believes Isak’s value could top £150 million due to his impressive form. He also suggests Chelsea might have the upper hand over Arsenal in the race to sign him but advises the Blues to be cautious, as his price could keep rising.
