AC Milan have initiated talks with Brighton & Hove Albion over the possibility of signing defender Pervis Estupinan this summer.
The Rossoneri have been drawing up a list of names in their search for a new left-back following Theo Hernandez’s move to Al-Hilal.
Estupinan has emerged as the latest target, with Milan in talks to learn about his availability in this transfer window.
The arrival of Maxim De Cuyper at Brighton has opened the door for Estupinan’s potential exit. The Ecuadorian is at risk of falling down the pecking order.
Estupinan feels ready to move to a big club after a solid spell at Brighton, with Manchester United also registering their interest in him.
He has registered five goals and 14 assists in 104 appearances for the Seagulls, establishing himself as one of the Premier League’s top full-backs.
Although his attacking output is on the lower side, Estupinan is an excellent progressive passer and ball-carrier.
Estupinan would be a good investment for Milan and bring more steeliness to the defence. His industrious nature aligns with manager Massimiliano Allegri’s style of play.
Milan are also exploring a move for Real Madrid left-back Fran Garcia, who could cost around €30 million.
The Rossoneri are monitoring Almeria’s Marc Pubill and Strasbourg’s Guela Doue as right-back targets.
