Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund has opened up to a transfer to Inter Milan this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that the two clubs are in talks, with United seeking a €45 million fee.

It is certainly no secret that Inter Milan are keen to sign Rasmus Hojlund from Manchester United.

The Nerazzurri have identified the Danish international as their top target in attack.

It may have been two difficult seasons for Hojlund at Old Trafford. However, Inter still rate the 22-year-old very highly on the basis of his performances for Atalanta in the 2022-23 season.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Rasmus Hojlund himself is open to the idea of joining Inter this summer.

The Nerazzurri approached the Dane’s representatives to make their interest clear. And they got a positive response.

This was the green light for Inter to start talks with Manchester United over the striker.

On the other hand, Rasmus Hojlund did publicly downplay the links yesterday. He stated that he “still expects to be playing for Manchester United” next season.

However, the Gazzetta reports, this was just Hojlund being professional.

The negotiations between Inter and United still have a ways to go. Therefore, the Dane would hardly openly talk about the possibility of a move to Inter.

But behind the scenes, the Gazzetta report, Hojlund has very much opened up to the prospect to a Nerazzurri switch.
