4 Arsenal fixtures moved for TV

Arsenal’s packed April schedule is now set as broadcasters have made their selections, with four Premier League fixtures rescheduled to accommodate live coverage.

The Gunners’ final-ever league visit to Goodison Park will now take place on Saturday, April 5, with an earlier 12.30pm kick-off to suit TNT Sports. A stadium that has long been a thorn in Arsenal’s side, the early start adds another layer of annoyance to a fixture that has, in recent years, been anything but straightforward.

A week later, Brentford’s trip to the Emirates on Saturday, April 12 has been shifted to an evening 5.30pm slot on Sky Sports.

However, this game remains in limbo, as it could yet be pushed to Sunday, April 13 at 2pm, depending on how English sides fare in the Champions League. Given Arsenal’s own European ambitions, fans may have to wait to see when this one actually kicks off.

The long-awaited league visit to Portman Road, the club’s first in 23 years, will now take place on Sunday, April 20, kicking off at 2pm on Sky Sports. With Ipswich Town punching above their weight this season, and Arsenal struggling in front of goal due to their injuries, this fixture carries far more jeopardy than would have been expected at the start of the campaign.

Rounding off the month, Arsenal’s London derby with Crystal Palace on Saturday, April 26 has also been moved to a 5.30pm slot on Sky Sports. However, like the Brentford clash, this match could yet be forced into further rescheduling, should Palace progress to the FA Cup semi-finals, which take place that same weekend.

The one game that remains untouched is the April 1 clash with Fulham, which stays at 7.45pm at the Emirates.
