The Premier League transfer window officially slams shut for the summer on Thursday afternoon.

With the deadline fast approaching and clubs across the land scrambling around like careless students the night before an exam, here are 10 big transfers which could still go through before it’s too late …

10. Mario Lemina to Wolves

It’s been another impressive summer of business from Wolves and they could yet add a little bit of extra quality to their midfield in the form of Southampton’s Mario Lemina.

Look how quick he is!

9. Lewis Dunk to Leicester

Harry Maguire is gone and Leicester now need a replacement in central defence.

But with £80m burning a hole in the Foxes’ pockets, other clubs won’t be allowing their players to move to the King Power Stadium on the cheap and Brighton could well ask for as much as £45m to let Lewis Dunk go this late in the window.

8. Wilfried Zaha to Everton

With the signings of Andre Gomes, Moise Kean, Fabian Delph and co, it’s already been a pretty exciting summer of incomings at Goodison Park.

And if they can snap up Zaha before the deadline, they’ve definitely got to be looking to mount an assault on the top six in 2019/20.

It’s going to cost them, though.

7. Ryan Sessegnon to Tottenham

Spurs have developed a habit of leaving their transfer business until the last minute over the years and though it seems like ages ago that Jack Clarke and Tanguy Ndombele joined the club, they could be in for a pretty frantic deadline day.

One of those possible incomings is Sessegnon, who was left out of Fulham’s Championship opener against Barnsley last weekend amid speculation about his future.

He’d be a great signing, so what is Daniel Levy waiting for?

6. Kieran Tierney to Arsenal

Another full-back who should be heading to north London on deadline day is Celtic’s Tierney, who has been linked with a £25m switch to Arsenal for as long as we can remember.

The Scottish champions have previously been unhappy with the Gunners’ attempt to pay the left-back’s transfer fee in instalments but a more cash-based offer might just get the deal done.

5. Giovani Lo Celso to Tottenham

Another player we thought would already have arrived in England by now is Lo Celso, who has been linked with Spurs all summer.

Reports late on Wednesday suggested a £55m fee had been agreed with the Real Betis midfielder and if he does finally join the Lilywhites, he will be a very good signing.

4. Mario Mandžukić to Manchester United

Reports last weekend that Mandžukić had agreed a deal to move to United may have been wide of the mark, or the Croatian’s arrival at Old Trafford could all depend on Romelu Lukaku being sold before the deadline.

Either way, the experienced 33-year-old striker would undoubtedly score goals in England and this would be a very shrewd acquisition.

3. David Luiz to Arsenal

The reports which emerged on Wednesday of Luiz refusing to train with Chelsea in a bid to force through a more to Arsenal is the kind of deadline day craziness we’re all here for.

By all accounts, the Blues are ready to let the Brazilian leave and he could soon he linking up with his afro brother Mattéo Guendouzi at the Emirates.

2. Bruno Fernandes to anyone

How on earth is it 8 August and still nobody has snapped up Fernandes?

The Portuguese playmaker has been linked with a host of top clubs all summer and would represent a bargain buy in the current market.

Reports last week suggested he has decided he wants to join Spurs so it’s time to pay up and get him signed.

It really could be now or never.

1. Paulo Dybala to Tottenham

It could well be a busy and exciting day for Spurs in which chairman Daniel Levy really earns his salary again.

If they end up with Sessegnon, Lo Celso, Fernandes and Dybala then they really will be a force to be reckoned with in the Premier League and the Champions League next season.

But reports in Italy suggest La Joya’s image rights are a bit of a conundrum, so it will be interesting to see how this one pans out in the final few hours before the deadline.
